King Arthurs Guard
Acrylic on Canvas
Dimensions: 39.25” L x 19.5” W x 0.5” D
I really enjoyed putting this artwork together as it came from a vision I had. Just before falling asleep one-night flashing before my eyes was a totem pole. Before I lost the image, I forced myself to get out of bed, grabbed a pencil and made a rough sketch in my journal.
In 2018, I decided to look in my journal for some ideas and this image was waiting to be painted. After beginning with the totem pole sketch, the piece morphed into one of ‘King Arthurs Guard.’
He reminds me of the medieval times and the Knights of the Round Table. There he is - awaiting to defend my life. I see him often in my mind’s eye many times with one knee bowed, leaning on his sword where he is praying for me and awaiting the time of battle.
Perhaps, this imagery of the 'Guard' will he defend you too. (smile)

Roses for Dennis, Acrylic on Canvas, 2020. 30”x40”x1”
This piece was designed from a photo of the rosebush at my family’s home. My brother Dennis, planted and took care of it. I lost him in 2003, to a heart attack at age 50, but he will always be in my heart.
